Bullying and Safety Reporting
Bellville ISD prohibits bullying on school property, at school-sponsored or school-related activities, or in any vehicle operated by the district. Bullying may be verbal or written expression, expression through electronic means, or physical conduct. Bullying is not tolerated by the district. Students who believe that they or any other student who has experienced bullying are encouraged to immediately report the incident. Parents who believe that their student or any other student who has experienced bullying are encouraged to immediately report the incident. Also, students and parents who believe that another student has engaged in bullying are encouraged to immediately report the incident. Retaliation against anyone involved in the complaint process is a violation of district policy and is prohibited.
Students or parents may report an alleged incident of bullying either orally or in writing to a teacher, counselor, principal or other district employee. Students or parents may also use the link below to report an incident and /or a complaint.
Please note that after submission of the complaint to the district employee, the district may assign the complaint to a campus administrator to follow up on the submitted complaint and any other important matters pertaining to the complaint. We encourage you to communicate with your designated campus administrator during this time.
Anonymous Reporting
On occasion, we receive anonymous complaints or concerns at both the campus and district levels. While anonymity can limit our ability to fully address the issue, we always make every effort to follow up with the information provided. Knowing the source of a concern is extremely helpful, as it allows us to gather additional details when needed—something that is often necessary to resolve situations effectively.
That said, we understand that parents sometimes face difficult dilemmas and may choose to remain anonymous. Please know that our goal is always to partner with you to create the best possible educational experience for your child, and your input plays an important role in that process. Our hope is that we can continue building a trusting relationship that allows us to work together openly and collaboratively on behalf of your child.
